fred’s Super Dollar stores have helped raise more than 4.2 million dollars to benefit the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. From February 25 to April 20, shoppers will be able to purchase a Miracle Balloon at any fred’s Super Dollar location. All the proceeds from the sale of the paper balloons will benefit the Children's Miracle Network Hospital in the community where the Miracle Balloon was purchased. With each donation, customers receive a coupon for $1 off two bags of Mars Candy. The 2013 campaign set a record with a total of $746,286 raised, which was a 16.9 percent increase over the 2012 campaign total.
Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals. The 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals serve children in their communities by providing highly specialized care they need. fred’s Super Dollar began its partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2006. fred’s Super Dollar participates annually in the Miracle Balloon icon program, and has seen first-hand how one dollar at a time can make a difference in the lives of children in the communities it serves.
